The Border Patrol Foundation provides resources for immediate family expenses reflecting average household expenses for one month. Additional assistance is provided relative to the need and capability of the Border Patrol Foundation for special circumstances. These requests are most often recommended by leadership in the fallen agent’s Sector or area.

The primary mission of the Border Patrol Foundation is to develop a Memorial Fund providing financial resources to the immediate families of the fallen. Through personal and membership donations, the Board of Directors directs the distribution of funds as they are available and needed. The Memorial Fund is nourished by personal, corporate, and organization donations through memberships.
Gifts are also made in recognition of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent and are acknowledged to the person who has received a donation on their behalf.
